Unlocking a contact and a provider's monthly subscription run through Safaricom's Daraja API, right here in the app - small, fixed fees. The job itself - what you actually pay the provider for the work - is agreed and paid directly between you two, however you choose. Kwamua never handles that payment, and never sees your PIN or card details.

Do I pay for the job inside the app?
No. The only payments made inside Kwamua are small platform fees - unlocking a provider's contact details, and a provider's monthly subscription - both via M-Pesa. What you pay the provider for the actual work is agreed directly between the two of you and paid however you choose (cash, M-Pesa, bank transfer). Kwamua is never involved in that payment and never takes a cut of it.
How are providers verified?
Every provider submits a national ID and photo before they can appear in search results. Listings are reviewed, not just self-declared.
Is my phone number shared automatically?
No. Numbers stay private until either side deliberately unlocks the other's contact details for a small M-Pesa fee - never shared just because you sent a request.
What areas does Kwamua cover?
Kwamua works anywhere in Kenya with providers nearby - you set your own search radius, from 5km up to 100km, depending on how far you're willing to have someone travel.
What if a provider doesn't show up or does bad work?
Rate and review every completed job - reviews are visible on a provider's profile before you book. Providers with a pattern of no-shows or poor work fall in ranking and can be removed from the platform.
